It has been a long journey of discovery from my great grandfather coming to England from we didn't know where, marrying in 1897, having 5 children and entering Alexandra Palace as an internee, the only reference being in a letterbook of 1916. It must have been a distressing experience for a law-abiding family man having lived here much of his life.

I still search for more news of Wilhelm and his children including Grace Helen my grandmother. Your site has helped me enormously to find the history of my family. The story is just beginning to be known to us bit by bit, a neverending story until my search reaches family I didn't previously know existed.
