![]() James B. Felix |
My name is James B. Felix. I first came to England in 1961. I am from Trinidad, Port of Spain. I came to play music in Jersey. Later I played at various locations in England like the Royal Court Theatre Club. I played the double bass. Subsequently, I toured Germany for three years up to 1966. I enjoyed it and learned the language. I then had a contract to go to Sweden with a German group. I branched off from music onto driving the buses in Stockholm, where I worked until my retirement. After which I returned to England in 1993.
In the meantime I managed to visit Trinidad every year to enjoy participating in our carnival festival. I always made sure that I did not miss the Notting Hill Carnival which is a pretty good carbon copy of our Trinidad model. I have lived to a ripe old age so now I mostly maintain a low profile and try to enjoy life as much as possible "one day at a time", until the inevitable puts paid to my life's story.
