Teachers
Why have people moved to the UK? What are their experiences? What is their impact on British culture?
The four modules in the Moving Here site explore different parts of England's migration history. They are supported by a gallery of images, interactive activities and related stories that will engage your class with the material and get them thinking about primary sources of information.
This teachers' section provides guidance on how to use the modules and the other sections of the Moving Here site.
Help your students get a new perspective on diversity, explore how migrants have shaped British history, and tackle difficult topics sensitively. We've supplied Module Overviews and Lesson Plans as well as information about how to use the site for cross-curricular study. You'll also find useful background information about migration history, plus tips about how to conduct your own oral history project.
