Winifred Atwell, who was president of the South London Rangers Speedway Club, presents a cup to a prize-winner in the early 1950s. Winifred Atwell was born in Trinidad in 1914 and trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London. To finance her studies she played the piano in London clubs in the evening. She was very popular both as a live performer and as a recording artist.
