An Indian and a British doctor attend a badly wounded Turkish soldier in Mesopotamia (Iraq) during World War One. The Turks finally surrendered in October 1918 after a lengthy campaign which included the disastrous landings at Gallipoli by Allied troops (Australian, British, French and New Zealand forces) where some 200,000 Allied soldiers lost their lives.
