A 1912 photograph of a group of radicals or anarchists including (back row second from left) Rudolf Rocker and (front row left) Milly Witkop, who was Rocker's lifelong companion. Rocker was born in Germany and came to Britain in 1895. Although not Jewish himself, he was a key figure in a radical Jewish political movement - The Jewish Anarchists - living in the Jewish community and becoming a well-known speaker and writer. The Anarchists opened a successful social club in Jubilee Street, in the east end of London in 1906.
