Interview with Emanuel Litvinoff

"It was the beginning of the world campaign, to free Soviet Jews. I got very, very emotionally involved, so it was taking up a lot of my time. I was beginning to get funds in from various Jewish organisations in America and one thing and another, subsidies, and so I was making a point of going to various countires, particularly I used to go to Holland, to Norway, Denmark and Sweden, particularly those three because they used English and giving interviews in newspapers about the situation of Soviet Jews, doing broadcasts, appearing on television and so on and so forth, and even meeting with foreign ministers by then because it was, you know it had become a very sensational story."
