Catalogue Reference:(MOL) 82.232/138b

A postcard from the Franco-British Exhibition held in London in 1908 showing the entrance to the model Irish village of Ballymaclinton created especially for the exhibition by the McClinton's soap company from County Tyrone. This was supposedly based on the real-life village of Donaghmore in County Meath which has an ancient church and round tower and was reputed to have been founded by St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.
