The interior of a synagogue in London during a consecration service for an ambulance being sent to Israel in 1971. The rabbi and the man on his left are both wearing prayer shawls. The cupboard with the open doors is known as an Ark and contains the sacred Torah scrolls made of parchment on which are written the Jewish law.
