A young boy curls up with his arms around his father's neck as they rest in a temple courtyard in Calcutta in 1944. The photograph was taken by Cecil Beaton who made his name as a fashion and society photographer in the 1920s and 30s. However in the Second World War, Beaton was commissioned as an official war photographer during which time he travelled to India and recorded some memorable images.
