A painting by the Irish artist, John O'Connor, entitled From Pentonville Road looking west evening which was exhibited at London's Royal Academy in 1885. John O'Connor moved to London in 1848 eventually becoming head scene painter at the Haymarket Theatre. He resigned in 1878 to work full time as a fine artist.
