The General Record Offices for the Republic and Northern Ireland don't have records online, but provide details of how to obtain details of birth, marriage and death registrations. These sites both provide county-by-county listings of census transcriptions available online. Almost complete database of the 1901 returns for Counties Leitrim, and Roscommon, plus some from Mayo, Sligo, Westmeath and Wexford. Clare County Library has transcripts of the returns for 1901 for five out of the eight Unions of the county. Cork transcripts, for both 1901 and 1911. This site has a count of the number of Griffith's householders of a particular surname by county (free) and parish (paying). Has transcripts for 22 parishes in Roscommon, 24 in Limerick and 10 in Galway. The site provides a meta-search feature covering a vast number of sites that contain Irish genealogical material, including many of the sites listed here. A pay-per-view version of Griffith's, in association with The National Library of Ireland and Eneclann, is planned for 2003.
