There are no separate lists for colonial immigrants. The only inward passenger lists are in the National Archives series (PRO) BT26 for the period 1878-1960. These give names of all passengers arriving in the UK when a ship's voyage began at a port outside Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. The passenger lists give:
Unfortunately, there are no name or ship indexes. To search these records you should know an approximate date of arrival or the port of entry. At the back of the Bombay Calendar and Almanac and Madras Almanac there is a list of shipping departures from India to various ports in England. This includes the name of the British passengers. It also notes the presence of a native servant; however, it does not usually give the name of the servant, though occasionally, it gives the name of the free native passengers. The National Archives library holds some of these printed works. The complete set can be consulted at the British Library, OIOC. A register of deposits on account of native servants is held at the British Library, India Office Records, under reference L/ MAR/C888. In the post-war period many migrants arrived in the UK by plane or train. Some arrived at Victoria, via Calais and Dover, after disembarking from their ships on the Continent.
