Leeds Leisure Services (LMG)

Leeds Museums and Galleries and Leeds Library Service are funded by Leeds City Council.

Leeds Museums and Galleries comprises the following sites:
Abbey House Museum, Armley Mills Industrial Museum, Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds City Art Gallery, Leeds Museums Resource Centre, Lotherton Hall, Temple Newsam House and Thwaite Mills Water Mill. It is also closely linked with the Henry Moore Institute for sculpture.

The fine and decorative art collections, natural history collection and industrial collection are all designated of national importance.

Leeds Library Service has its headquarters at the Leeds Central Library, Calverley Street, Leeds, LS1 3AB which houses both the Leeds Local Studies section and the Porton Collection of books relating to Jews and Judaism. Material from both collections is being contributed to Moving Here.

Included in the Moving Here catalogue are fashion catalogues, workshop details and store photographs of Montague Burton, the creator of high street shops Top Shop and Burton.
